Supreme Court today said that UIDAI, Unique Identification Authority of India cannot share its data with other agencies. The court said that Aadhaar could not be mandatory for public services and any order thing that Aadhaar is mandatory must be withdrawn.
Justice B.S. Chauhan heading the bench said "I received a lot of letters will say the Aadhaar card is mandatory despite the court orders." One letter said a man's marriage was not registered because he didn't have an Aadhaar card. The court said, "we have already passed orders saying 'no one should suffer for not having and an Aadhaar card.'" | |
